Indulgence

It's been a slow and uneventful week for me... hard to believe it's only Thursday! I've been pretty occupied on my new blog {- luxury & opulence -} which has given me so much daydreaming inspiration already. If any of you get a chance, would love for you to take a look, bookmark & spread the word if you like what you see!

Some favourites this week:
* Elie Saab Haute Couture: 1 | 2 | 3 | close up
* black & white: glamour
and finally, some wise words...

Cupid's Arrow

Happy early Valentine's day my darling readers! I hope you have an absolutely lover-ly weekend! Whether it's fine dining by candlelight or spending a quiet night in on the couch, the day has come to show your loved ones how much they mean to you. For some, it may be extravagant dinner reservations in the bustling city center or a room of rose-petals and perfectly pretty neutrals on a quick weekend getaway. For others, it may be something as simple as a sweet note, a quick peck or a stolen lingering glance that marks this occasion. Whatever it is, a little romance never hurt anyone xx

Room

Room by Emma Donoghue, is without a doubt, one of the top 5 books I have read in a long time that kept me wholly and completely captivated from start to finish. I literally couldn't put it down and it wasn't only because of the story but moreso the use of language and the innocence of 5-year-old Jack, who lives with Ma in an 11x11 foot "Room". I admit it takes a little bit of getting used to when you first start reading but the language soon becomes believeable and you want to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next. This is such an interesting concept for a story and makes you look at life a whole different way - at least it had that effect on me anyway! Have you read this book? What were your thoughts?

The Furry Fashionista

I was at the small bookstore near my house yesterday afternoon and look what I managed to pick up of all things! I have been looking everywhere for this much-coveted style guide brought to you exclusively from the furry fashionista herself, Fifi Lapin. Apparently it is pretty much sold out all over the world now, so for me to have this without paying a ridiculous price is unbelievable! Here's a sneak peek...

Cyclone Yasi

First the floods and now this :( I'm keeping fellow north Queenslanders in my thoughts tonight as they prepare for a Category 5 cyclone to hit around midnight. What a terribly frightening time this must be for everyone who will be affected. Please stay safe.
