Monday Morning Lovelies

It's that time of the week again, though fret not. Fear not. You can live on dreams! :)

Enjoy while I go make myself a cup of coffee and a light morning snack (chocolate eclairs, yum!).

Wishing you all a happy start to the week,

Save those Shavings

This set of Chocolate-Pencils are the creation of Japanese designer and architect, Oki Sato and patissiere Tsujiguchi Hironobu. It comes with a special sharpener that you can use to create those delicate melt-in-your-mouth chocolate curls and guaranteed, it will take you back to your childhood days.

Even cooler? These pencils come in an assortment of flavours from light milk chocolate to dark bittersweet, much like real pencils that come in H, HB, 2B! The idea is too cute.

Palette 1.

Dearest Readers,

Starting from today I am going to share with you a new series of posts inspired by daydreams and hues of the rainbow. You will be able to find them under The Perfect Palette category which is located in the sidebar of this blog. Sort of like mini inspiration boards, but packed with lovely themes and interesting mixes of colour. To start us off, picture: the sound of espresso machines blending with coffee drinker's conversations, watching passers-by through the window as your mind slowly melts away inside, a baby grand piano underneath the world...

# 01. Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop

This is Origami.

Any origami lovers out there like me? Well, you are in luck -- I am going to share wtih you my excitement of stumbling upon this genius creation by Magdalena Czarnecki, a Swedish designer and recent graduate of Billy Blue College in Sydney (Australia!).

Pictured above is one of her project ideas: empty paper bags containing simple step-by-step instructions on how to fold the bag into an origami animal in order to become a sustainable designer toy in paper.

What's even better is that the cost of the bag is directed to the WWF to help save the endangered animal and its dying population. Such a worthy cause for all us animal lovers to support. LOVE!

Check out other posts under the beautiful bits and pieces category to discover more amazing and delightful finds I've come across in my web-wandering adventures!

Happily Ever After is so Once Upon a Time

Today: fairytales, pretty flowers and a dust of magic... What do you think?

It's all there in Red and White

It wasn't until today that I realised how much I adore these two colours together. Who would have thought? For some reason, the idea of red and white fabrics has always reminded me of picnics and nothing else -- but thinking about using it inside the home seems like such a wonderful idea after all. In the kitchen, red and white seems so mellow and so wholesome; in the living room it creates a neat and down-to-earth environment and in bedrooms, it is invigorating, cheerful and bright. A classic country element that I love for its simplicity. It's almost as perfect as Grandmother's cherry pie.
